Sept. 21: Enjoy storytelling, Latin American chamber music of ‘Tres Vidas’

‘Tres Vidas,’ a chamber music and theatre work celebrating the lives of three legendary Latin American women, will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 in the intimate Studio Theatre at the College of Lake County’s James Lumber Center of the Performing Arts. The venue is located on the college’s Grayslake Campus at 19351 W. Washington St.

Performed by Core Ensemble, a Florida-based music and theatrical group, “Tres Vidas” celebrates the lives of three legendary Latin American Women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya and Argentinean poet AlfonsinaPhoto of Tres Vidas performer Storni. The performance includes popular and folk songs of Mexico, El Salvador and Argentina, vocal and instrumental tangos and much more.
