College to host February information sessions on nine career programs

Careers in nine fields, ranging from dental hygiene to truck driving, will be the focus of information sessions being offered at the College of Lake County in February. Each session lasts about an hour and includes an overview of duties, a typical day, salary, job outlook and educational requirements. No RSVP is required. Unless noted otherwise, the sessions will take place at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

  • Medical Imaging: Monday, Feb. 4 at noon in Room TBD
  • Surgical Technology: Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in Room TBD
  • Engineering Transfer: Tuesday, Feb. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Baxter Innovation Lab (T120/121)
  • Dental Hygiene: Wednesday, Feb. 6 at noon, Dental Materials Lab N135 at Lakeshore Campus, 111 N. Genesee St., Waukegan.
  • Nursing: Monday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m., Room A013
  • Medical Assisting and Phlebotomy: Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m., Room TBD
  • Health Information Technology: Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m., Room A132
  • Nursing: Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in Room A013
  • Truck Driver: Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. in Room E121
