From Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” to Pat Benatar’s “Love is a Battlefield,” re-live rock and pop hits in 80s Night Out, a retro rock concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 30 at the College of Lake County. The performance takes place in the Mainstage Theatre of James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts on CLC’s Grayslake Campus.
Powerhouse vocalists include Lisa Rock (left) headliner of the national, ‘70s retro touring show “Close to You: The Music of The Carpenters.” Sharing the stage is Melissa Minyard (right) of Broadway’s original production of “Les Misérables.” Together, they front a
four-piece band to bring your favorite ‘80s songs back to life. Ladies, crimp your hair and put on those stirrup pants and shoulder pads. Guys, put on those Members Only® jackets. And everyone, dance and sing along to favorites such as Irene Cara’s “Flashdance (What a Feeling)” and many more. For more information on the band, visit http://80snightout.com/.
Tickets: $30 for adults; $29 for seniors, CLC staff and alumni; and $15 for students and teens. Prices do not include an additional $2 per ticket facility fee.
