May 9-10: Horticulture program holds annual plant sale fundraiser

by Public Relations and Marketing | Published May 01, 2019

The Horticulture department at the College of Lake County will hold its annual plant sale fundraiser Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the horticulture greenhouse (pictured, Building H near the Brae Loch Road entrance to the Grayslake Campus). Proceeds help support CLC horticulture student scholarships, internships and program enhancements.

The plants were grown by Photo of interior of greenhouseCLC students and staff. Sowing seeds and propagating plants to prepare for the sale began last fall. Purchasers may choose from herbs, annuals, perennials and hanging baskets of flowers as well as vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, tomatoes and squash. Native perennials are also available.

A complete list of the plants on sale is available on the College of Lake County’s Horticulture department Facebook page at www.facebook.com/clchorticulture. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card.
