May 16: College's high-school equivalency commencement ceremony moves to Physical Education Center

The College of Lake County’s high-school equivalency graduation ceremony, which takes place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, has been moved from the Room A011 Auditorium to the Physical Education Center (Building 7) at the Grayslake Campus. The ceremony will honor about 90 graduates who completed their tests between May 2017 and May 2019.

Besides graduates, their family and friends, the attendees will include the CLC Board of Trustees, the College Leadership Team, faculty and community partners of the Adult Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) division.

Additionally, a total of $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to selected graduates to continue their education at CLC.

The ceremony is sponsored by the college’s Adult Education and ESL division, along with the Lake County Regional Office of Education. For details on the commencement, call the Adult Education and ESL division office at (847) 543-2024.
