College receives 17th consecutive national financial reporting award

by Public Relations and Marketing | Published Jul 02, 2019

The College of Lake County recently was recognized for excellence in financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive financial report for Fiscal Year 2018.

For the 17th consecutive time, CLC received an award of financial reporting achievement for its comprehensive annual financial report. The financial report certificate of achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management, according to the GFOA.

The Government Finance Officers Association is a nonprofit association serving approximately 19,000 government finance professionals in the U.S. and Canada. CLC’s comprehensive financial report demonstrated a constructive “spirit of full disclosure to clearly communicate its financial story.”

Fall classes begin Aug. 19. For information about courses and how to apply and enroll, visit
