Students, police officers plunge into frigid lake to help raise more than $44K for Special Olympics

Members of the CLC Police Department and the college’s Criminal Justice Club bravely ventured to “Take the Plunge” into the frigid waters of Nippersink Lake Feb. 16. The event, which took place on the shores of Lakefront Park Photo of students and CLC police officers who plunged into frigid Nippersink Lake to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.in Fox Lake, raised more than $44,000 for Special Olympics Illinois. The CLC team, which raised $1.6K, joined participants from eight other police departments.
