The sold-out 2021 Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 20, at Stonewall Orchard Golf Club achieved record-setting net profit with nearly $105,000 directly impacting College of Lake County (CLC) Foundation scholarships and grants.
This was the first time in the event’s history it was “sold-out,” with 144 paid golfer registrants.
“When people come together in the interest of the students first, we are united under a commitment for access and success that allows great things to happen,” said Dave Galla, CLC Foundation Board Events Committee Chair and President of R.J. Galla Company Inc. “The 2021 Golf Classic’s record-setting proceeds are the great result of that unity around students. I’d like to thank the event staff for their service and dedication to raising funds for students with special acknowledgment to Dr. Lori Suddick, Kurt Peterson and Kristen Davis for their leadership.”

“Using the scholarships provided to me, I can focus more on my education rather than my financial situation,” said Tristan Spirawski, CLC scholarship recipient. “I am grateful there are people willing to help me get closer to my degree in biological sciences.”
