Performers 16 and older are invited to audition for College of Lake County theatre department’s young audience production of “Lions in Illyria.” Auditions will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23 and Wednesday, Aug. 24 at the Studio Theatre located at 19351 W. Washington St. in Grayslake.

Lions in Illyria posterThe show is about a young lioness named Violet who gets separated from her brother by a sea storm and must brave an unknown country all alone. She disguises herself as a boy and finds work helping a preposterous peacock win the love of the most graceful gazelle in town.
