Described as "lots of fun and very silly” by the Chicago Reader, the story follows Violet, a young lioness separated from her brother by a sea storm, who must brave an unknown country all alone. She disguises herself as a boy and finds work helping a preposterous peacock win the love of the most graceful gazelle in town. But soon her adventures take a wacky turn and Violet finds herself entangled in the clownish antics of a warthog and his featherbrained sidekick. Travel to the wonderful land of Illyria in this comedy about friendship, love, and the importance of being oneself.

Two actors in Lions in Illyria"This fast paced and silly, yet heartwarming comedy is brought to life by four actors who each play three separate characters,” said Director Alicia Hall. “These talented young actors need to move quickly and easily from character to character and bring out the characters' animal natures. They bring us into a world where family and new friendships mix and clash as the characters fall into love for the first time and struggle to learn how to grow into becoming a kinder person."
