Come listen to the iconic soundtracks of some of your favorite movies as the College of Lake County (CLC) Wind Ensemble presents A Night at the Movies from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert features music from movies “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Singin’ In the Rain,” “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “The King and I,” “The Magnificent Seven,” “The Wizard of Oz” and “Star Wars.”
Some of the famous pieces include “Darth Vader’s Imperial March,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” and more.
The 45-member performance group encompasses musicians from all walks of life, including CLC students, local high school music teachers and community members who enjoy the camaraderie of playing music at a high level. The ensemble features talented musicians playing woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.
Tickets are available for $8, or $7 for seniors, military and students, online at www.jlcenter.clcillinois.edu/college-events-music or visit the James Lumber Center Box Office, P112 at the Grayslake Campus. Box Office hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
