Steps for High School Students Under Age 16

Step 1 - Apply

Complete a Student Admission Form.

Begin by completing CLC’s Student Admission Form.

Step 2 - Documents

Submit the following documents to the Office of Registrar and Records at the following address:

  • An official transcript of your school record showing successful completion of the most advanced course offerings you have taken in the subject area in which you wish to enroll at CLC.
  • A letter of recommendation from an instructor in the subject area you wish to study at CLC.
  • If you are in Middle School, a letter from your district high school confirming that it cannot academically accommodate your needs and that the educational level you require exceeds high school level.

Step 3 - Form

Complete and submit CLC’s Secondary School Reference form for students under age 16.

Complete and submit the Secondary School Reference Form (PDF) to admissions@clcillinois.edu or drop off at the Welcome and One Stop (B114).

Step 4 - Meeting

Meet with Academic Dean

Once all materials are received, your record will be forwarded to/reviewed by the Dean of the academic division. The student and parent should make an appointment to meet with the appropriate Dean for final approval.
