Now that you have registered for Spring 2023 classes, the next step in your orientation experience is attending New Student Convocation. Convocation is an exciting event where you will:
- Find inspiration and support for your education at CLC
- Learn success strategies from faculty and students
- Meet with an Academic Success Advisor (ASA) in your academic Field of Interest (FOI)
Convocation will feature guest speakers and presentations for the first half of the program, and then you will meet in a small group with an Academic Success Advisor for the second half. In-person convocations at the Grayslake Campus will include a resource fair, student mixer, campus tour, and opportunity to obtain your student ID after the program ends.
Your ASA will be your assigned academic advisor and will support you from your first day of classes through completion of your academic goal.
Individuals requiring accommodations for equal access to this event, such as Sign Language Interpretation, should contact krushforth@clcillinois.edu at least three business days prior to the event.
If you have questions about convocation, please email nsosucceed@clcillinois.edu or call (847) 543-2348.
