CLC continues to offer diverse audience opportunities reflecting our ongoing campus life and arts programs. Most events are free to the public. View art events

Let Your Soul Soar

If you love to sing, act, dance, play an instrument, write or draw or paint, CLC offers opportunities for you to explore and develop your talent.

Music

CLC has several ensemble performing groups. Some have open membership while others require an audition. Participating requires you to register for a class, either for non-credit or credit.

Theatre

The Theatre department mounts several productions each year, and auditions are open to students and the community. Audition notices are posted on bulletin boards in the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts.

Dance

The Dance Department offers students and community members opportunities to participate in several dance productions each year. There are opportunities to learn choreography from professionals in the field and to create your own choreography. Auditions are open and take place in early fall and spring.

CLC publishes two literary magazines:

Visual Arts

The Robert T. Wright Community Gallery of Art is a major cultural resource for artists and Lake County residents alike committed to displaying the works of Illinois artists and increasing the visibility of nationally known artists in Lake County.
