Prairie Voices is a collection of student writing and art which is published annually in April. It represents the diverse voices of the student community of the College of Lake County.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions are invited throughout the year. Send a maximum of five pieces that can range in genre from personal essays, poems, short fiction, and research papers up to 2,500 words (10 pages double-spaced). All work should be unpublished. All work must be submitted electronically. Contributors must be students at the college. When you submit your work, please include a one-two sentence autobiography highlighting your career goals, interests, hobbies, or anything you would like readers to know about you. Submission deadline is early December.

Reading
A reading is held annually at CLC in mid-April. Writers published in the current issue are invited to read from their work and to meet with other student writers.
