Engaging Art Scholars for Excellence
Youth Workshops
These four dynamic workshops are geared towards youth, teens, and their families but welcome all ages. They are led by CLC Student Workers who serve as" Community Art Apprentices" and. Katrina Davis-Salazar, the Community Art Engagement & Outreach Coordinator. Those closest to this project have enjoyed watching people from age 10 to 83, from all cultures, races, and socioeconomic groups work side by side, all the while truly understanding the importance and necessity of the arts.
EASE aims to:
- introduce youth to the idea that a career and education in the arts is possible.
- provide the space, time, supplies and instructors to facilitate art making.
- inspire natural mentor/mentee relationships.
- encourage youth to continue lifelong connection to the arts.
