We provide comprehensive educational programs for students with transfer and vocational/technical career goals.

The transfer programs in the division serve students in multiple ways. We offer an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree with an emphasis in computer science, earth science, mathematics or physics; an Associate in Engineering Science (A.E.S.); and Associate in Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics (A.A.T). These degrees are designed to facilitate transfer to a four-year college or university for further study. The departments of mathematics, physics and geology also serve many students who take courses toward general education requirements for a variety of degrees and certificates .

If you're looking for programs that provide specialized training to prepare you for immediate employment, check out our career programs. Some students take only a few courses to reinforce and improve skills they already possess. Others enroll in a two-year program leading to an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree or enter a short sequence which leads to a certificate. Although the A.A.S. degrees are not primarily designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities, many of them do. See a CLC counselor for more information.

Whatever your interests and needs might be, the faculty and staff in the Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences division are here to assist you in achieving your educational goals.
