Register for Free Adult Education and ESL Classes

Classes available online and limited options in person with flexible schedules. Classes offered: ESL, HSD (GED or HiSET), Spanish HSE, Pre-Bridge and Bridge to Career Classes, Computer Classes and Citizenship classes.

In-person assistance at Grayslake and Lakeshore campuses by appointment.

Testing is in-person by appointment only. Hours are:

  • Grayslake: Monday & Tuesday - 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
  • Lakeshore: Wednesday & Thursday - 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

You can count on your helpful neighbor College of Lake County for many things. Our Adult Education program will help you build basic competency in reading, writing and math; complete your high school education; or learn English—free of charge.

Programs

Eligibility

All of CLC’s Adult Education classes are open to residents of Lake County. If you are on a short-term visit to the United States or here under a B1, B2, F1, F2, J1 or J2 visa, you are not eligible. If you are younger than 18 years old, you must meet additional requirements and register with an official Secondary School Reference Form signed by your local high school authorized representative.
