CLC Scholars
CLC Scholars is a program with a rigorous, demanding curriculum designed for students who may potentially pursue graduate work.
Students accepted into the program:
- Take on specialized academic assignments, projects and activities done under the direction of faculty
- Enroll in a special Humanities course
- Work 10 hours per week in an on-campus job providing valuable work experience
Honors Program
The Honors Program is an opportunity for high-achieving students to enrich their academic and community experiences and pave their way to future academic success.
The program is designed for students who:
- Enjoy learning for learning's sake
- Often do more than is expected
- Look for ways to expand their opportunities
- Strive for excellence
Requirements:
- Students entering CLC as freshman: High school GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Current CLC students: CLC GPA of 3.5 or higher (with 12 academic credits completed)
- ACT composite score of 25 or above (highly recommended but not required)
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for community college students. More than 800 students are members of CLC's chapter.
Qualification Requirements:
- CLC GPA of 3.5 or higher
- 12 credit hours or more earned
Membership in Phi Theta Kappa is by invitation. Twice a year, CLC's chapter advisor sends letters of invitation to students meeting the eligibility requirements.
