Anthropology

The study of everything

Whether you want to study genetics, monkey societies, the ancient past, modern cultures, or how language shapes our world, our Associate in Arts will introduce you to all of these possibilities.

Anthropology is the study of human similarities and differences in all times and in all places. It borrows perspectives from many different subjects to consider the full sweep of the human experience and tackles big-picture questions.

The strength of our program is the involvement of students in small research projects. Students learn to collect, analyze, and generate new information. With hard work, you might also continue our student tradition of creating academic presentations and formal publications. Something university students rarely accomplish.

Why study Anthropology with us?

Work with our Academic Success Advisors to plan your transfer to a 4-year institution. We can recommend schools that fit your future goals.

Your instructors know you by name—not by number. At CLC, the instructors are teachers first, researchers second. They dedicate their careers to helping you learn and understand the significance of anthropology to a variety of fields.

You learn the same material studied at 4-year schools, while you receive the personal attention and feedback possible only in small class sizes.
