The College of Lake County offers many courses in creative writing: fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and scriptwriting. These courses offer opportunities for the beginning creative writer as well as the published author.
Students are introduced to elements of craft and will develop their ability to produce original work in various subject areas, as well as learning to read professional writers from a writer's perspective.
Traditional classroom, online, and field courses are some of the delivery methods utilized in CLC's creative writing program. Advanced workshops are offered in specific genres for students who want to further develop creative writing and editing skills.
