What inspires me about my field: The ability to share the world’s cultures through language instruction. My goal is to provide students with more opportunities to connect with other cultures and people around the world. I have the chance to provide them with the necessary tools to advance their careers by giving them a competitive advantage that will set them apart from their monolingual peers and aid them in becoming global citizens.

What inspires me about my field: What inspires me the most is to be able to share my knowledge and experiences with my students. I find it gratifying when I stimulate the students’ minds and to see how they go beyond what we do in class; some decide to pursue the subject as a future career. It is very rewarding to know that I can make a difference in students’ lives, and that I have the opportunity to do this every day in the classroom.
