Meet the Professors

Christina Lozano
Instructor, Medical Imaging

Specialties: Medical imaging; registered radiologic technologist.

Teaching full time at CLC since: 2020; started teaching as an adjunct instructor at CLC in 2015.

Subjects taught at CLC: Introduction to Medical Imaging, Radiation Biology, Radiology Physics and labs, Fluoroscopy Procedures and MRI/CT clinical education.

Other professional experience: Has been working as a Radiologic Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist in hospitals and clinics in several states, most recently at Illinois Bone and Joint and Center for Diagnostic Imaging.

Education: A.A.S. College of Lake County; B.S. University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Registered technologist in Radiography, Computed Tomography and Bone Density.

What inspires me about teaching in my field:  The best part of teaching is to see the development and growth in students, especially during our program. To help a student go from not knowing much about an x-ray to understanding the production of an image and providing the excellent patient care to their patients is incredibly rewarding.

Lynn Wiechert
Instructor, Medical Imaging

Specialties: Medical imaging.

Teaching full time at CLC since: 1999; also served as a teacher assistant at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where she taught radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging programs. Professor Wiechert also worked as radiologic technologist and computed tomography technologist at Herrin Hospital and radiologic technologist at Lake Forest Hospital.

Subjects taught at CLC: Patient care, radiation biology, radiology physics, fluoroscopy procedures, computed imaging and clinical education.

Education: A.A.S., B.S., M.S., Southern Illinois University-Carbondale; Ed.D., Northern Illinois University; she is a registered radiologic technologist and computed tomography technologist.

What inspires me about my field: Exceptional healthcare is conveyed through a patient and family’s experience that encompasses individual attention, special consideration, patience and comfort that is unique to each person.
