Effective Fall 2022: The Machine Tools Trades program will be merged into the Precision Machining Technology program. Existing students are advised to continue to meet with their Academic Success Advisor.
About the Program
This program prepares students for employment and advancement in the machine tool field. Machinists are skilled workers who set up and operate machinery to produce precision tools and instruments. They are able to read and interpret blueprints, use common hand tools, set up and operate metal cutting machines and use precision measuring instruments. Advanced placement in this program is possible for experienced machinists.
