Launching Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is a structured “Learn and Earn” program that combines job related classroom learning along with a structured on–the-job training guided by a mentor. These programs offer employers the opportunity to strengthen and build their workforce by developing a tailored high-quality talent pipeline. The goal for apprenticeship programs is to provide workers with a set of skills that meet the specific needs of local employers using a flexible learning approach.

CLC apprentice Max Lehman

Max Lehman is a second-year student working on his Associates in Applied Science degree in Automation, Robotics and Mechatronics (ARM).

Max was working in the food service industry while taking classes at CLC. As an apprentice at Siemens, he is gaining hands-on experience in the career area of his interest that aligns with the classes he takes with one of the top companies in the country. As a Siemens-sponsored apprentice, Max’s educational expenses are fully paid, including tuition and books while he gains experience in his field of interest.
