Continuing or Returning Students
Meet with your assigned Academic Success Advisor
As a CLC student, you have a personal Academic Success Advisor (ASA) assigned to you based on your field of interest or program of study/major.
Your ASA is your go-to person from your first day of classes through graduation. They will help you develop your goals, select classes, create a personalized success plan, enhance your college success skills and get connected to additional CLC resources. You are encouraged to meet with your ASA every semester to help you stay on track as you work toward your educational goals.
Appointments with your assigned ASA are scheduled via Navigate, which is accessible through myCLC.
- Contact information for your assigned ASA is available in Navigate under the Resources tab.
- Face-to-face, Zoom and Phone advising appointments are available.
- October and February are the best months to seek advisement and make a plan for the upcoming semester.
ASAs are also available during designated times for drop-in questions. Drop-ins are typically brief discussions lasting no more than 20 minutes and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some topics may require a follow up appointment.
Note: If you do not currently have an ASA assigned to you, please contact the Advising Center at (847) 543-2060 for assistance.
Have general questions or need assistance? Contact the Advising Center support staff at (847) 543-2060 or advising@clcillinois.edu. Please allow two to three business days for email response.
Note: Academic Success Advisors do not provide mental health services. Please contact Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) if you have questions related to mental health services.
