Transfer Planning

Know Your School. Know Your Major. Know You'll Transfer Smoothly.

Transfer planning is key to transferring successfully to a college or university of your choice. Knowing where you will transfer and what major you will study helps you plan your coursework at CLC to match your transfer school requirements to ensure a smooth and successful transfer experience.

The Easy Transfer Checklist (PDF) is a semester by semester guide that outlines tasks that students can complete each semester to ensure a smooth transfer as well.

Begin your path to a bachelor’s degree at the College of Lake County. CLC offers the same general education core courses that comprise the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university.

Though CLC’s credits generally transfer easily, college and universities have different requirements for transfer students, and you should plan your transfer to make the process as smooth as possible. Students may apply to any college of their choice, but they may also choose to take advantage of any one of our partnership programs listed below.

Transfer Partnerships

Guaranteed Transfer Admission

CLC has established guaranteed transfer admission agreements to assist students with a seamless transfer to participating partner colleges and universities. View Quick Facts Sheet (PDF) for frequently asked questions about guaranteed transfer admission agreements. Students interested in schools that do not participate in these agreements can apply to any college or university through the normal transfer application process.

Articulation Agreements

Articulation agreements are available for specific majors and programs.
