Know Your School. Know Your Major.
Know You'll Transfer Smoothly.
Begin your path to a bachelor’s degree at the College of Lake County. CLC offers the same general education core courses that comprise the first two years of a bachelor’s degree program at a four-year college or university.
Though CLC’s credits generally transfer easily, college and universities have different requirements for transfer students, and you should plan your transfer to make the process as smooth as possible. Students may apply to any college of their choice, but they may also choose to take advantage of any one of our partnership programs listed below.
Transfer Partnerships
Guaranteed Transfer Admission
CLC has established guaranteed transfer admission agreements to assist students with a seamless transfer to participating partner colleges and universities. View Quick Facts Sheet (PDF) for frequently asked questions about guaranteed transfer admission agreements. Students interested in schools that do not participate in these agreements can apply to any college or university through the normal transfer application process.
Articulation Agreements
Articulation agreements are available for specific majors and programs.
University Center of Lake County
Our partnership with the University Center of Lake County offers many bachelor degree completion programs.
Transfer Services and Resources
CLC student development counselors are available to assist you in identifying transfer options, determining the required courses and in planning your semester-by-semester course work to fulfill your transfer school’s requirements. In addition, we offer many transfer guides, transfer resources and transfer events to assist you.
Student Development Counselor Liaisons
Although any student development counselor is able to assist you with transfer, specific student development counselors have been identified as liaisons to DePaul University, University of Illinois-Chicago, and University of Illinois-Urbana Campaign.
