Working to Provide Access

Through the Office for Students with Disabilities, CLC offers a wide range of academic accommodations to assist you in your classes and with your college experience.

We have experience working with students with a wide range of needs.  Regardless of the disability, we will meet with you, gain understanding of your needs and provide you with the necessary paperwork.  Our staff will work with you with the highest standards of privacy. Should you have any questions, please contact the Office for Students with Disabilities.

Our Commitment to You

We promise to work with you, holding ourselves accountable to the highest professional standards, among them:

  • Providing an accessible learning environment through reasonable accommodations.
  • Encouraging you to be a self advocate.
  • When appropriate, serving as your liaison with faculty and staff.
  • Fully complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and its amendments, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other relevant legislation.

Accessibility and Inclusion Statement

Our institution recognizes the valuable contributions and efforts of our students, staff, faculty, and community members with disabilities, and their vital part in the rich diversity of the College of Lake County. While diversity exists in social systems, inclusion and equity must be fostered. In order to facilitate inclusion and equity, the Office for Students with Disabilities, the ADA Coordinator, and the Accessibility and Inclusion Committee will work together with the college community to find solutions that will ultimately support an accessible education and work environment for every individual.
