Technology Help

The Help Desk is here to help you with any questions, login issues or any other CLC technology questions.

Student Technology & Academic Resources

Students can check out technology and books from the library, and use campus computer labs and printers. Learn about options to access computers, internet, calculators, library books, printing, and scanning.

Internet Access

Students have several options for internet access both on- and off-campus. If you are using a computer or device off-campus, use a secure wifi connection with a strong signal.

Canvas

CLC has transitioned to a new Learning Management System (LMS) called Canvas. Canvas is robust and easy-to-use and delivers course content online:

  • Faculty can upload course materials for their students on Canvas and conduct a variety of classroom activities.
  • Students can retrieve and submit assignments, participate in discussion groups, take tests and check grades.

Zoom

Instructors may use Zoom, a video conference tool, for class discussions and office hours. College departments may also use Zoom for appointments.

Microsoft Office 365

Current CLC students have free access to Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and OneNote.

  1. Go to http://portal.office.com and sign in with your CLC email address and password.
  2. The Office 365 user portal is displayed, providing access to the online apps. To install the Desktop Applications, click the “Install Office 2016” button.
  3. Follow the instructions for installing. Use the “Need help installing?” link if needed.

Textbooks and Bookstore

The CLC Bookstore offers online purchase pick-up service, returns and buyback at all three campuses (through January 15, 2021) as well as shipping to home. Order your books online and choose the delivery method you want. Visit https://www.clcbkst.com for details, instructions and online ordering.
