Doing Business in Ireland

March 21–30, 2025

Visit Ireland, known as the Emerald Isle and for being a global business hub. Tour historical and cultural sites. Expand your knowledge of business practices by visiting local companies.

  • BUS 299 Global Business, Focus on Ireland (3 credits)

Get an overview of global business, with an emphasis on economic systems, political environments, and cultural diversity in Ireland. Compare and contrast business practices in diverse countries and cultures, and how to deliver goods and services in international markets. Study the global environment (political, cultural, legal/ethical and economic) and strategies for delivering value to customers across the globe. Travel to Ireland at the end of the course to visit several businesses and cultural sites. You must complete online assessments and discussion boards, write a term paper, participate in discussions, and keep a daily journal of your experiences and reflections on places visited.

  • College of Lake County tuition and fees

Scholarship information

Study abroad scholarships are available through the Department of Global Engagement for eligible participants. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have already applied and been accepted to the study abroad program.
