Students who attend at least 3 of the Welcome Weeks events can enter a drawing for exciting prizes such as backpacks with supplies, gift cards, CLC gear, and more! Attendees will receive a CLC wristband which they will need to get punched at every event they attend.

    Fun Fair Day

    Welcome to the first day of classes! This event includes a variety of games, a DJ, a photo booth where you can meet the CLC Mascot and more. Sponsored by Program Board.

  • Wednesday, January 23, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    Health, Wellness and Sustainability Day

    Health and Wellness and Sustainability ROCK! Move to the beat of Zumba, stretch with Yoga, relax with chair massage and learn about the HWP certificate and degree program, Center for Health and Wellness Promotion, Wellness Club, Yoga Club, Health Center, PE and Fitness Center. Come hear about the College’s important sustainability initiatives and the Campus Farm, interact with the Environmental club, spin the Recycling Wheel of Fortune, and learn about careers that help save the planet. Enter a raffle for reusable cups, lunch containers, and utensils.

    Game Night

    Come for a fun night of ping pong, air hockey, pool, chess, board games and video games. Bring your friends and meet new friends. Sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa honor society.

    Gadgets, Robots and Lasers Day 

    The College of Lake County offers many in-demand, rewarding career certificates that you can earn in two years or less. Meet our program experts in the Student Commons and learn more about the various exciting, hands-on, high-tech careers (Lab tours will be provided) including: Automation Robotics Mechatronics, Automotive Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, CAD Drafting, Computerized Numerical Control Programming, Electrical Engineering Technology, HVAC/R Engineering Technology, Lasers Photonics Optics, Machine Tool Trades, Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Welding.

    Cafe Willow Food Fair 

    Learn about all that Café Willow has to offer and partake in free food.

  • Monday, January 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.
    Job Fair

    Employers from various industries will be available to provide information on jobs and internships. This fair is targeted towards students and alumni in all college programs.

  • Tuesday, January 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.
    Transfer College Fair

    The Transfer Fair will host up to 50 representatives from Illinois and out-of-state public and private colleges and universities. The fair provides students the opportunity to speak with the representatives of individual colleges about their transfer programs.

    Student Clubs and Organizations Fair

    See the benefits of getting involved on campus and learn about the over 40 Clubs and Organizations available to students.

    Student Success Expo

    Get connected with the College’s helpful student services offices such as Tutoring, the Library, Coaching for Academic Success, Counseling and Advising, Financial Aid, Multicultural Student Center, Veteran’s Services and more.
