Spain: Doing Business in Spain

The goal of this course is to expose students to the business and related cultural aspects of Spain, the 5th largest economy in Europe. Course participants will benefit from directly witnessing the Spanish economic and business environment via business visits and cultural tours. Earn 3 credits in Business Administration, BUS 299 at CLC. Attend classes for 8 weeks at CLC (March 11–May 10), then travel to Spain (Barcelona & Madrid) for 10 days (May 12-21).
- BUS 299: Selected Topics in Business (3 credits)
Course description: This is a unique opportunity to earn 3 credits in the Business Administration course sequence while visiting a country and learning about business first-hand. An interesting mix of business and cultural experiences will be provided. Students will leave with a broader global perspective.
Trips to local businesses, economic and educational institutions (Madrid stock exchange, Barcelona Global Business School). Walking tours in Madrid and Barcelona. Cultural site visits (historical sites in Madrid and Barcelona, Toledo).

Cost: $4,385*
*Trip cost subject to change due to unanticipated changes in currency exchange rate, airline and accommodation variations.

- College of Lake County tuition and fees
- passport fees
- incidental/personal expenses

Withdrawal information: Your deposit and other fees are refundable if you withdraw from the program no later than December 8, 2023. Withdrawals must be made in writing and submitted to wwloch@clcillinois.edu.
Scholarship information
Study abroad scholarships are available through the Department of Global Engagement for eligible participants. To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must have already applied and been accepted to the study abroad program.
