Welcome to the future of manufacturing. At 170,000 square feet, the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in Gurnee, Illinois, houses leading-edge equipment and training programs.

In the current fourth industrial revolution, automation transforms the way we manufacture. Factories become quieter, cleaner spaces where precision, logic and skilled minds prevail.

Powerhouse programs at the ATC

CLC's world-class ATC was created to strengthen Lake County’s manufacturing workforce.

Two programs are currently offered at the ATC: Industrial Technology and Welding and Fabrication Technology. Both programs provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge from faculty with years of experience on a work-friendly daytime or evening schedule.

“The ATC will house state-of-the-art equipment to support programs designed for accelerated completion of coursework delivered by subject matter expert faculty that is aligned to industry needs.”
— Dr. Lori Suddick, CLC President

“Advanced manufacturing in Lake County is not only an economic driver for the region, but it also offers a rewarding career pathway for many of our students. By offering skills development that meets the needs of Lake County employers, the ATC becomes a critical piece of the economic development ecosystem."
— Kristina Kovarik, Mayor of Gurnee, 2005-2021
