Accreditation

Confirmed quality in education

Accreditation refers to an evaluative process that ensures colleges and universities are delivering high-quality education through their programs and services. Students can be assured that CLC delivers high-quality educational services because it is accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

To receive accreditation, CLC must satisfy all criteria for accreditation established by recognized accrediting agencies and undergo rigorous review processes. Because CLC holds itself out for accreditation, universities and employers recognize the degrees or certificates earned by CLC students.

External accrediting agencies at the regional and national level develop strict standards for assessing the quality of education offered by an institution or program. Expert reviewers then evaluate evidence that CLC provides to demonstrate that it is financially sound, rigorous in academic programming, supportive to its students and responsive to community needs.
