Child learning at summer camp Published May 09, 2024

Kids can learn, explore careers and have fun this summer, all on a college campus. Registration is open now for College of Lake County (CLC) summer camps running from Monday-Thursday May 28 to Aug. 1 for students entering grades 1-12.

A variety of camps run mornings from 9 a.m. to noon and afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. For a full-day option, register for a morning and afternoon camp. Camps are available at the Grayslake, Lakeshore and Southlake Campuses.

“Your student can experience convenient, affordable, one-of-a-kind STEAM- and STEM-based academic enrichment at CLC,” said Senior Program Coordinator Tammie Johnson.

Explore camps for grades 1-8 are STEAM-based academic enrichment, while Engage camps are STEM-based career exploration experiences for grades 9-12. Both are taught by experienced instructors. SAT prep and college essay workshops are also available for grades 10-12.

A limited number of scholarships are available. For the best opportunity to secure a scholarship, apply by May 15.
