Visiting Students

Visiting students can enroll in select courses without meeting course prerequisites.

Note: If you are unable to enroll in any of these courses, please email an unofficial college transcript to records@clcillinois.edu. Please ensure your name and the name of the institution are visible on the transcript.

You can enroll in courses not on the prerequisite deferred list for visiting students. To do this, you must meet basic proficiencies, course prerequisites and corequisites.

If you need to meet basic proficiencies

• Explore College Reading and Writing Readiness (CRWR)
• Explore Math placement and prerequisites for Math courses
• Explore all proficiencies and requisites

Email your unofficial college transcript to records@clcillinois.edu. Please ensure your name and the name of the institution are visible on the transcript.

If you completed a prerequisite course elsewhere

Use the Prerequisite Verification Request Form to upload an unofficial transcript, grade report, or degree audit with your name and the institution’s name on the document. You will need your CLC username and password to access the form.

If you're currently taking a prerequisite course elsewhere

First, use the Prerequisite Verification Request Form to upload your unofficial transcript or student schedule from the college/university with the prerequisite course and your name listed. You will need your CLC username and password to access the form.

Then, provide proof that you’ve successfully completed this course to records@clcillinois.edu. You must complete this step to secure your enrollment at CLC.

You know the classes you want to take. Now it’s time to register! In fact, you can register for courses two hours after receiving your CLC ID number.
