Hardship Withdrawals

Students may request to withdraw from all classes due to medical, catastrophic, or financial hardship reasons that prohibit the completion of classes. Supporting documentation and a written statement are required.

The request for withdrawal and relevant documentation must be received no later than 60 days after the end of the term for which the student is seeking a withdrawal. If it is more than 60 days, withdrawal requests will be considered if extenuating circumstances existed that prevented timely submission.

Approval for a hardship withdrawal does not guarantee removal of the class from the student’s transcript. The impact on the transcript, such as a grade change, is based on the point of the term when the student became unable to attend/participate in courses due to the hardship.
