New Southlake Dean champions student success

College of Lake County proudly announces Dr. Tricia Rosado as the new Dean of Southlake Campus. She brings more than 20 years of higher education leadership focused on equity, student success and community partnership.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to begin this new chapter at CLC,” said Rosado. “Southlake has a strong legacy of excellence and a welcoming culture, and I look forward to building on that foundation. I will work to strengthen the campus’s role as an active partner in the community, working alongside nonprofits, businesses and schools.”
Serving communities throughout Lake County including Mundelein, Lake Zurich, Vernon Hills and Libertyville, CLC’s Southlake Campus delivers core college classes as well as distinct programs for businesses, working adults and people getting ready for careers in wellness and health sciences. The campus located in the southwest corner of Lake County leans toward wellness for individuals and communities.
“The faculty and staff here are deeply committed to every student’s success, and my goal is to elevate and amplify the incredible work they’re already doing,” Rosado said. “At CLC, we believe we’re stronger together, and I’m honored to be part of that unity and momentum.”
Vice President of Educational Affairs Dr. Kristen Jones said, “Leading from a student-centered, equity lens, Tricia’s authenticity, passion and commitment to being a visible campus leader and a welcoming advocate positions her well to serve as Southlake Campus dean.”
Rosado recently earned her Ph.D. in educational administration and foundations with a focus on leadership, equity and inquiry from Illinois State University. She also has a master’s in higher education leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and a bachelor’s in sociology from DePaul University.
Rosado’s extensive experience in strategic planning, equity leadership and student-centered programming aligns with CLC’s mission to advance the Lake County community.
