Develop interview skills and connect with employers
Izzy Reyes studied graphic design at CLC. She used CJPC services to chart a new career path.
“If I hadn't taken advantage of the Career and Job Placement Center resources, I don't think I would be where I am today. I wouldn't have found that internship. I wouldn't have gained that experience,” she says.
Through CJPC fairs and workshops, students and employers interact in both professional and casual settings.
“The Career and Job Placement Center really has one main focus and that's to connect students with employers,” said Executive Director Will White.
Supportive services, good jobs
The center delivers results for students. According to the 2024 CLC Community Impact Report:
- 78% of graduates of the Class of 2023 were employed within one year of graduating
- 69 apprenticeships were offered with 19 employers
Whether you’re pivoting to a new career or just starting out in the workplace, working with CJPC is worth it, says Reyes.
“It's very beneficial for all students. The Career and Job Placement Center is that lighthouse for you. They'll be your guide and help you find what you're looking for.”
