Watch Now: Earn college credit in high school
Published December 08, 2025
At College of Lake County (CLC), you can get ahead before you even step on campus. With dual credit, high school students earn college credits while completing their regular coursework, saving time and money on a future degree. Explore subjects that align with your goals, build confidence in college-level classes and create a smooth path to whatever comes next.
Graduate high school with a head start
When you take a dual credit course, you earn both high school and college credit at the same time. Dual credit is free, letting you save money by earning college credits without paying tuition. After high school, you’ll already have a CLC transcript that can shorten your associate degree or transfer to a four-year school. Courses match what’s offered at CLC, taught by qualified instructors at your high school, the Tech Campus or a CLC location.
