The James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts (JLC) at College of Lake County (CLC) highlights its reach across Lake County and the opportunities it creates for community engagement, business partnerships and collaboration in this year’s annual report.

From local families and students to patrons traveling from across the country, the JLC connects people through live performances while creating opportunities for businesses and community organizations to engage with local audiences.

Did you know:

  • More than 34,000 community members were served last year, demonstrating the JLC’s role as a regional destination for performing arts and cultural experiences
  • Ticket buyers came from 30 states, reflecting the JLC’s ability to attract audiences from beyond Lake County
  • 5,072 K-12 students, student performers and local dance school participants visited the JLC, highlighting the center's connections with young people, educators and local arts organizations

These connections represent opportunities to build partnerships that extend beyond the stage. Local businesses can explore ways to connect with JLC audiences through sponsorships and collaborative promotions, while community organizations, schools and arts groups can work with the JLC to expand access to performances, create shared experiences and strengthen community relationships.

As a cultural resource within CLC, the JLC serves as a gathering place for the community and a platform for meaningful collaboration. Partnerships help support a dynamic local arts scene while connecting organizations with new audiences and opportunities to engage with the college.

The JLC team is proud to bring engaging performances and opportunities to audience members and looks forward to building more momentum by developing new relationships with businesses, organizations and community members throughout Lake County.
