At CLC, you can earn money as you learn skills for a new career. Get free childcare so you and your toddler can attend school at the same time. Or find a flexible class schedule that accommodates your other responsibilities. We'll help you make it happen.

In-person, virtual, online and blended courses
You need classes to adapt to your schedule. At CLC, you have convenient and flexible options. Attend classes on campus, online from home, or a blend of both. You even can learn hands on through field studies and apprenticeships.

Finding the right options
Choosing classes that work for you is easier than ever. Maybe you want to attend school part-time and take online-only classes? Or perhaps you want to be a full-time student and attend classes on campus? Whatever you choose, we have options to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance.
- Full-time: At least 12 credits/semester
- Part-time: Up to 11 credits/semester during fall/spring
- Part-time summer: Up to 5 credits
Balancing work with school
A student job on campus doesn’t just pay the bills. It gives you the opportunity to be independent as you build your skills. Finding work that’ll flex with your school schedule is a lot easier than you think. A job on the CLC campus gives you more than money; you’ll gain:

Balancing kids with school
If you have children, you want to know that they’re being taken care of, and CLC can help with that.
Our two nationally accredited childcare centers let you focus on your academics while your child(ren) learn and play in modern, secure surroundings. They are supervised by child-care professionals, giving you time to attend class and work on assignments.
Services are available at the Grayslake and Lakeshore campuses, offering services year-round.
