Bike repair

You rode your bike to class. Awesome! Then a tire goes flat, or a pedal loosens. Where’s roadside assistance when you need it? For CLC cyclists, the free Bike Resource Station is located just outside the Athletic and Fitness Center (Building F).

Use the station to make an unexpected repair, for routine maintenance or to tune up before a longer ride.

Hang the bike on the extended bars of the station so the pedals and wheels spin freely. Then use the attached tools or bike pump to perform basic repairs and maintenance, like changing a flat tire or adjusting brakes and derailleurs.
Now you can ride with confidence, without carrying an extensive bike repair kit. (You might want to carry a patch kit, though.) Teach your friends how to use the station, too—the more riders, the better.
The bike resource station is convenient if you’re cycling the Living Lab Trail or crossing campus to link with the Rollins Savanna Trail or the Washington Street Metra Station.
