CLC in collaboration with the Lake County Workforce Ecosystem, manufacturers, educational partners and other workforce entities is pleased to showcase the degree and certificate programs, career opportunities and in-demand jobs available to students, job seekers and the Lake County community.

Virtual Employability Skills Panel Discussion - What Employers Really Want

10-11:30 a.m.

During this panel discussion, employers will speak candidly about the critical skills that elevate candidates and staff within the workplace. Panelists will share how processes and requirements have evolved, post-pandemic. Join us virtually for this dynamic engagement. Panelists include representatives from Siemens, JST, Aldridge, Abbott and Precision Zone.

Adult Education Panel Discussion

7-8 p.m.

The Adult Education and ESL Division invites you to attend a panel discussion featuring ICAPS students’ experiences in the program. The ICAPS program is a statewide initiative that aims to provide an integrated pathway in Career and Technical Education (CTE) for college credit and program certificate opportunities for Adult Education and Literacy students. The ICAPS model provides career pathway/employment opportunities for students while enabling their transition into additional postsecondary certificate/degree programs. In spirit of Manufacturing Month, ICAPS students from programs such as Automotive, Auto Collision Repair, and HVAC programs of study will share their experiences.

Manufacturing Internship and Career Fair – In-Person

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Career and Job Placement Center hosts its annual fair that provides opportunities for employers and job seekers to connect. This event is ideal for individuals looking to enter or advance their manufacturing careers. Participating companies also welcome the opportunity to connect with students who are seeking internships or apprenticeships within the skilled trades.

Join Career and Job Placement Center, Talent Development Services and MxD to learn how to bridge the gap between cybersecurity and manufacturing roles. This session outlines training opportunities, career pathway information as well as student apprenticeships.

Attend a free, virtual information session and learn about Engineering Mathematics Physical Sciences programs or CLC’s Apprenticeship Program. Sessions are 30-minutes long unless otherwise noted. Each session will give you a quick overview of the admissions process and paying for college options. Register for one or all! Session links will be emailed after registration.

Come learn about CLC's hands-on Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and Machine Tool Trade program. This program offers short-term certificates that lead to employment and hands-on learning in the lab. Electrical Engineering Technology

Come learn about CLC's hands-on Electrical Engineering Technology program and hear from an area employer. This program offers short-term certificates that lead to employment, hands-on learning in the lab, and excellent transfer agreements with top rated Engineering schools.
