Step 1: Choose a Program

- Study English Language Instruction. CLC offers English language courses from beginner level classes to advanced.
Step 2: Prepare Admission Requirements
- English Language Requirements
NOTE: English language proficiency is not required to be admitted to CLC.
*If you have the following exam scores, you will qualify for regular academic classes - TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - Internet-based score of 71 or above.
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - Academic Format: score of 6.0 or above.
- You must submit the exam scores during the application process.
- International College/University Student Transcript Evaluation.
Admission requirements
Support for English language learners
The English Language Instruction (ELI) program is a nationally accredited, award-winning English language program at the College of Lake County. It is designed for English as a Second Language (ESL) students who want to learn English as quickly as possible. This program offers international students the accelerated English fluency needed to meet their academic goals.
