CLC hires new Foundation executive director, chief development officer

College of Lake County (CLC) welcomes Leigh Ann M. Jacobson, CFRE, as the new executive director and chief development officer of the CLC Foundation.
"I am honored to join the College of Lake County Foundation because I’ve seen firsthand how community colleges transform lives,” Jacobson said. “My own family’s trajectory changed when my father became the first in our family to graduate from a community college, inspiring generations of educational achievement. This role allows me to bring my passion for accessible education and 25 years of fund development expertise to a mission that resonates deeply with my personal and professional values. Together, we can bridge educational gaps and create impactful opportunities for all members of our community."
Jacobson most recently was senior director of family philanthropy and engagement at Lake Forest Academy, where she was previously served as director of parent relations and giving. Jacobson also has worked at Wilkes University, King’s College, University of Notre Dame, Ivy Tech Community College and Misericordia University.
Along with her professional career, Jacobson has taught fundraising, English composition, American literature, and English literature as an adjunct faculty.
“Leigh Ann brings not only a depth of professional expertise and credentials, but also a compelling personal story of why community colleges are critical to changing the trajectory of families and communities,” Vice President of Community and Workforce Partnerships Dr. Ali O’Brien said. “We're delighted to have her on board to accelerate the advancement of student scholarships and programs that help change lives in Lake County.”
