A sale with purpose

The Rockley Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting music education, has provided a selection of grand pianos, baby grands, upright pianos, hybrid pianos, digital pianos, violins, violas and cellos that will be available for purchase. Instruments range from entry-level to professional quality and include brands such as Steinway & Sons, Yamaha, Seiler, Knabe, Roland and Italia Violins. Most instruments are less than one year old, include a five- to 10-year service contract and are tuned and ready for use.

Appointments are encouraged throughout the event, with a final open sale taking place Saturday, March 28, from 2–5 p.m., when no appointment is required.

Investing in the future of music education

“Music education changes lives. It invites discipline and imagination to exist side by side, and it gives students a language for expressing what they cannot always say in words. Our partnership with the Rockley Family Foundation allows us to bring extraordinary instruments to our campus while directly investing in the future of our students,” said Stephanie Gray, dean of communication arts, humanities and fine arts. “In a time when the arts require intentional support and thoughtful stewardship, we are proud to create opportunities that strengthen access, deepen community connection and ensure that music remains a vital part of education at the College of Lake County.”

Community invitation

Community members, music educators and performing arts enthusiasts are invited to explore available instruments during the three-day public event while supporting music education at CLC.
