College of Lake County (CLC) theatre proudly announces its 2024-25 student showcase, "Play On!," highlighting student creativity, talent and achievements through performances in April.

This year's featured production is "The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon," by Don Zolidis and directed by Luke Bruinius. This comedic performance reinvents classic fairy tales by combining all 209 Grimm stories into one energetic show filled with audience participation and family-friendly humor.

Performances in the CLC Studio Theatre are:

• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12
• 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13
• 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, April 17-19

“Our annual student showcase is a highlight of our CLC theatre season. Each year, the play is chosen, directed, designed and acted by our students,” said CLC Theatre Chair Craig Rich. “The production showcases the impressive talent of our students and gives them the opportunity to apply what they are learning in the classroom to a fully realized production. It’s an exciting process and we are so proud of what they’ve created.”

Tickets cost $10 for the general public and $8 for CLC students, teens and seniors. Special buy one ticket, get one free offers are available for opening night on April 12 and Thursday, April 17.
