About the Program
Chemistry is a transfer program housed in the Biological and Health Sciences division. Transfer programs are for students who plan to continue their education at a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree. Some students take chemistry courses to fulfill the physical science requirement for a transfer degree.
You can qualify for some career opportunities with just an Associate in Science degree in chemistry; other positions require a bachelor’s degree or graduate study. Chemists are employed in many industries, from pharmaceuticals to agriculture to government agencies.
